Natural Brute Beasts to be Taken and Destroyed

9/17/2016 , 131 Comments

In order to speak, one must first listen. In order to comment, one must understand what was written.

I felt so awfully sorry and disturbed after reading some negative comments regarding my last two blog entries about biased reporting and jaundiced journalists, which comments lumped up all those killed allegedly as extrajudicial killings!

But while we have jaundiced journalists, we also have jaundiced readers. To be jaundiced is to be affected by bitterness, resentment, or envy. Don’t they show in their voices?

I'm reminded that what the Bible says is true! Not all people read the Bible carefully and conscientiously.

II PETER 3:16-17
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other Scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.

As the unlearned wrest the Scriptures, so do some readers of my blog wrest its message!

As written in my two last entries, I never favored extrajudicial killings! Nor is there any part of what I wrote that defends any alleged killing without due process. Below are some of these comments I believe made by people who do not understand what they are doing! May God forgive them!

Here is what I wrote:

We know scientifically and logically that drug addicts are persons considered to be out of control, even by themselves. One way to help them is to show them and make them taste a blow from the arm of the law. I repeat: show them and make them taste a blow from the arm of the law.

If they will see that pushers and users are being prosecuted and not tolerated, they would think twice in pursuing their vices that are most certainly stupid. Punishment is a deterrent to crime.

HEBREWS 10:28
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

A wise reader would consider the conclusive portion of the entry that says, "I repeat: show them and make them taste a blow from the arm of the law.If they will see that pushers and users are being prosecuted and not tolerated, they would think twice in pursuing their vices that are most certainly stupid. Punishment is a deterrent to crime.

HEBREWS 10:28
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:"

A wise reader would not comment that I am in favor of killings - specifically extrajudicial!

The verbatim portion I wish to emphasize is, "If they will see that pushers and users are being prosecuted and not tolerated......."

What do I mean by “prosecuted?” Bringing criminal action for the offense in the courts of the land.

And what do I mean, "and not tolerated?" Did I mean they must be killed or punished without due process? For shame! You who just comment without thinking! It’s stupid to place meanings where it is not meant!

Remember that the term "extrajudicial killings" is as yet an allegation against the Duterte Administration! It is not yet established.

Extrajudicial killings mean killings by persons on authority without due process of law, and Duterte's critics must prove this first that really since May 10 of this year, all the killings that happened in the government's war against drugs are being done by the Duterte Administration!

My blog entry was titled "Judging the Killings: Not to Blame Duterte but Sum up the Truth."

Nowhere in this entry did I justify the killings that happened to defend the President nor did I condemn the critics of the present government to defend the one in power! The entry centered mostly on biased media, both local and foreign, their reckless use of the phrase "extrajudicial killings."

One thing I said is "punishment is deterrent to crime!" using Hebrews 10:28.

HEBREWS 10:28
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Did I mean in the use of this verse extrajudicial killings?!! Shame on you, stupid!

The verse says, death is imposed under Moses' law upon the testimony of two or three witnesses! It inevitably means that the crime against the Law of Moses before death is imputed was investigated and was proven in the testimony of two or three witnesses. This is the due process under the Law of Moses! Is this extrajudicial killing?

Next time before you comment on Brother Soriano's pronouncement, be sure you understand what you are reading!

And a bonus before Christmas! Are you going to criticize and be dismayed by what the Apostle Peter said that I quoted in one of these blogs?

II PETER 2:12
But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

In this verse, Peter is saying that people or humans that speak evil of the things they do not understand are natural brute beasts to be destroyed!

Now, get a bonus. Disagree with Peter and go to hell!

  6. Yes I agree to this article, that there are some stupid reader who relentlessly commented out of context what the writer mean to say.
They just comment of what they perceived in their mind which they did not fully understand, this is very rey dangerous because they may relate to other readers that what was written in a writer's blog is the opposite of what the the essence of what the writer mean to say. Again. We thank God for enlightening the readers of what you mean to implied. God bless you Bro. Eli.

  8. I absolutely agree Mr Controversy. There are people who read this blog and the Bible but doesn't understand and even speak evil to it.

What Mr Controversy is saying is that there must be a due process (under the law) to show that drug personalities and pushers are "not tolerated".

Thanks be to GOD Mr Controversy.

  9. What I always do before sharing anything?
Read the whole article and understand it.
what I observe from a large number of netizens is that, they read the title, maybe gone far to introduction, but yeah. Their comprehension did not go beyond the true sense of the title.
To make it simple, some are just stupid enough to make judgement.

But look, some who responded negatively had finished reading the whole blog, but too selective to understand the context.
Logic is so important to get the right conclusion.
But others just ignored the premises that were prepared. Result? They didnt get the right conclusion or the whole point. Fallacy!!!

What I didnt get to those people is that, evidence and reasons were its lined up one by one to get to the point,,,, ahh enough. Masakit sa ulo.

  14. I'm not in anyway shocked that there are people who are against Brother Eli's blogs and teachings, the recent writings to be specific. Some people are quick to judge, some don't read thoroughly, Some read not to understand but to cherry pick statements from the blog that they think they can dispute. And some are just against the truth, against the word of God.   Nowhere in the recent blogs did I sense that bro. Eli is pro-extra judicial killings. The writer is just telling the truth from the Bible, that there are naturally brute beast to be taken and destroyed. Those are God's word thru Peter in the Bible that you fools are against with. A lot of thoughts about this issue. The blog is not even bias to the president at all. It sides to truth, justice and, fairness. We cannot jump to conclusion that all the killings are extra judicial or Government operation. The blog just speaks the truth that punishment is a deterent. But no where did it say, extra judicial killing or killing perse should be promoted. God bless you brother Eli. Your blog is enlighting as always. Thank God for this readings that shows what the Bible say about every situtation in our dispensation.

Ngayon, nagkaroon tayo for the first time ng Presidente na primary focus ay puksain ito, anong gagawin natin?

  21. I expected these grammatical embroilment and muddled comments of some of the readers of Bro.ELI’s previous blogs about the Extrajudicial Killings and Fake News in Journalism. How can I condense this…hmmmm….let me first explain why I expected this.
Before a reader reads an article or a blog about something, that reader already possess three initial filtering factors. 1. His conclusive notion upon reading the title of the blog. 2. His peripheral choice of words according to his bias comprehension and 3. His emotional input in the light of his pre-conceived opinion. Meaning, by merely reading the title of the blog, he had already assumed that he knows how the blog would end . Therefore his cache of opinions behind his presumptuous mind would dictate his brain to filter what he reads according to his preferences and objections. This is why of the couple blogs Bro.ELI wrote, I always emphasize that the blog does not only inform but teaches wisdom. And unless you see the context, you will never understand the quiddity or crux of the blog. And with the comments of some seemingly stereotypical judgmental readers, I have this to tell you ….. YOU DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU HAVE READ!
When Bro.ELI was explaining his point about Duterte’s involvement in the extra-judicial killings, he was speaking highly technical about the LOOPHOLES OF THE LAW. He was not defending Duterte per se. He was expounding on the “POLITICS BEING POLITICIZED”, given the time element of the incidents. He neither defended Duterte nor agreed of the killings blamed unto him. Bro.ELI was opening our eyes to see the greater wisdom enveloping it. The readers over-reaction clearly shows that they misconstrued the bottom line. Let me reply briefly on their comments.
To Jorge Turbolencia: No, killing in advance before conviction wont deter crime. And that was not even stated on any of Bro.ELI’s blogs.
To Melvin GOP Man: There is a due process of law. And Bro.ELI never condoned an act of killing as a remedy. BRO.ELI believes in human rights.
To Neth Garciano: Childish logic. Highly mediocre. Empty cloud.
To EJ Amenaza: The blog was not intended to highlight the essence of LIFE . You jumped from your horse even before it took you where you wanted it to take you.
To Suzzane D. Balagtas: Politely stated and eloquently spoken. But this was not about Duterte. This was more about the political intricacies and philosophical maneuvering .
To Archie Ryan Mendoza: Judgmental. Needless to lecture Bro.ELI about religion.
To Paul Aries Larry: You misconstrued what you read.
    To Aldreg Soriano: Too subjective.
To Don Ruhe: Clearly perplexed .
Unfortunately, these people did not catch the notion behind BRO.ELI’s intention. That is because you did not give yourselves enough time to internalize everything. It’s a pity that you guys did not see the wisdom in it.

Before I part, I agree with Bro.ELI on the last part of this blog where he wrote: Now, get a bonus. Disagree with Peter and go to hell! Not that you were being judged , as I might expect your misunderstanding again. But the bible was clear about it. II Peter 2:12. I rest my case.

What I observe from large number of netizens is that, they share posts, comment, react , like or despise an article base on title or opening statment.
Result- netizens who cannot comprehend the whole context and the point of the author.
Some tend to read the title and luckily read the introduction. Enough to be stupid.
Be smart, there are premises lined up, facts to help you understand. Dont go around jumping to conclusion because you were offended by the keywords used.

This is actually alarming, thats how many people think(not all).
Be it as good or bad reaction to any article,- this only show the bad practice of some people specially netizens, who reacts without comprehending the whole article.

I definitely agree to what Mr Controversy said.
    What he said is true
Those who will get offended dont like truth.

I read the blogs, too, but never have I read that he's in favor of extrajudicial killings.

I've got the point which Mr. Controversy re-quoted that criminals should be given a blow of arm of the law. It's NOT extrajudicial killings, it's in due process. Even at Moses' time none must accept anyone's charge without witness (at least two to three person), so if anyone was stoned to death, it's because they've proven that charge against the punished is "beyond reasonable doubt".

If the article/blog seems that it's pro-Duterte, read again...

Commentators need to dig deeper, read carefully, and be wise and understanding.

I would like to thank God for this kind of blog because it gives me a realization that sometimes I make mistakes about it, but I didn't say I actually did it to that to the recent blog. Actually what point striking me about this blog is about the thinking of having accepted that it is right to kill those people killed by the extra judicial killings, what I've realize is that all of the things especially in judging or judgement of one suspect should be in the due process in order to the government part or those who prosecuted the criminal be in justice. So that no one have a mistake for there decisions. Now I thank God again for the wisdom given to me because now I know! Whats the right and wrong about judgement! I thank God for this blog may the bless from God be with the author of it!

  55. I admit i'm not as intelligent as others with their so-called titles and professions, license and other tags attached to their names. But i just wish that they use their titles wisely, prove the claim of having that professionalism they possess, the knowledge that they portray.. because it's been a trend to hear from these titled persons judging others from what they only see on surface.. i mean, how come they seem to be not intelligent enough to weigh everything before saying something. And really, doing such acts is not really helpful.

I guess it was pretty obvious that those people who replied on Bro.Eli's blog did not read it to learn and be informed.

  60. To all critics of Bro. Eli, just contemplate Hebrews 10:28. Was that extrajudicial killings? So ignorant mind!

  61. Anyone who gives his comments after reading something that he did not truly understand, is a sign that he is stupid. Intelligent readers understand the message of what they are reading before their intelligent comments are shared to other readers. I agree with what Bro. Eli stated. Thanks be to God!

  62. Totoo naman po sinabi ni Bro. Eli...
show them and make them taste a blow from the arm of the law.If they will see that pushers and users are being prosecuted and not tolerated, they would think twice in pursuing their vices that are most certainly stupid. Punishment is a deterrent to crime.

  68. We don't defend Mr. President DU30. For all we know, we must acknowledge that GOD sends anyone or anything according to his purpose. Look at a broader perspective. No government existed by the will of anyone. He still in control of everything. If the president today has a mouth to speak as he likes, don't blame it to bro. Eli. For all we know that he has another mouth to speak the truth to anyone. You're barking the wrong tree.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I agree with MrControversy. Bro. Eli is definitely not defending the President and he is not in favor of killings. One cannot complain or judge too quickly if they don't understand the topic. Before speaking, think about what you are going to say.

  70. I believed Some Readers don't understand what they are reading or maybe they don't understand English very well. Please read carefully, the blog it is very clear. Please comment on what it is written..

    ReplyDelete
  71. The words of Bro. Eli have been mangled to bring out an entirely different meaning. He speaks the truth but those who disagree with such truth find ways to twist his words. I suspect preconceived notions to be the cause of such negative comments from the previous blog of Bro. Eli. As bro. Eli said,

"I am not defending the President. I am speaking as a sensible preacher of the word of God by norms, in law and logic, especially that in the Bible, one must judge not only according to what he has heard.

    ISAIAH 11:3-4
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked."

A little bit of open-mindedness would go a lot of ways into understanding the message of Bro. Eli. These negative commenters may just be posing to be disappointed with the stand of Bro. Eli when in fact, they may already have prejudged Bro. Eli.

  73. Truly they failed to understand the points being written. These jaundiced readers are hypocrites and quick to judge.

Death is to those who will aggressively resist arrest. Consider the number of living pushers and users arrested and those who surrendered willfully, these are of greater number comparatively to those who were killed during arrest.

While Majority of the Philippine Residents are now reaping the benefits of the President's actions, Jaundiced Readers and Jaundiced Journalists are simply unhappy because of their own stupid reasons.

I would say to these hypocrites, keep your stupid reasons to yourselves.

  75. Not all Filipinos agreed to your conclusion. I saw and heard what MR. President DU30 said in t.v. interview. He said that if they would fight with the police then the police would fight back. If they weren't lucky they would die. Now, why do you blame bro. Eli for this? All of us knew what was being said by the president, and bro. Eli, by principle, wrote a blog in defence for law to be executed. He wasn't agreeing with any killings that wasn' according to the law. But your darkened mind are brewing something against the man of GOD. May GOD forgive you.

  89. While the Philippines is so preoccupied with their POLITICAL circus and mambo jumbo issues about the EXTRAJUDICIAL KILLINGS where Duterte is in inquisition, the big question is --- WOULD THE ERADICATION OF DRUG USERS , PUSHERS and DEALERS by SUMMARY EXECUTION deter or even put an absolute ceasefire to such crime? Bro.ELI never mentioned in his blog that those killings were justifiable. A reader commented that Bro.ELI tolerates such act. This is why you need to read well before you comment. You would end up looking like a fool.

Duterte have been known by Davaoenos as the MAN WITH AN IRON FIST (KAMAY NA BAKAL) for years and years, even prior to his plans of running as President. His infamous character as a brute, no nonsense way in drug war at his region is no secret to the political limelight.

On Bro.Eli's blog in www.controversyextraordinary.com entitled Judging the Killings: Not to Blame Duterte but Sum up the Truth ... he mentioned that -- "Meanwhile, may I remind the media to be careful in their use of words. "Extra-judicial killings" must mean that the ones doing the killings are people in power!" , referring to the terminology opted by media to define the depth of their allegations towards Duterte's administration. Bro.ELI wasn't defending Duterte from the allegations but was questioning the term EXTRAJUDICIAL KILLINGS which was tagged on the allegations. Because really, how can the media describe the killings as extrajudicial when they are just allegations? Had there been killings? Yes indeed. But let us not surmise it at extrajudicial because that is considered trail by media. So for others to even conclude that Bro.ELI was defending Duterte is a very baseless analysis. It wasn't about Duterte's character as an alleged killer he was defending. He was exemplifying how the media and irresponsible journalism could maliciously affect the readers mind by using the wrong terminology . The blog was not about Duterte per se. It was about media influence.

So did Bro.ELI support the Killings? No! Did he support Duterte's alleged involvement? NO. The intention of the blog wasn't about how the investigations would go. But more about how meticulous we should be with WORDS before we write something.Because words saves. And the wrong set of words could lead us to damnation.

  93. Bro. Eli's blog is always written in facts and figures, and his ultimate basis is the Bible! And if you carefully read his blogs and extract it juice, one thing in common you will find- it is sided in truth written in the Bible. No gossips neither he made an opinion for the interest of some.

This blog is extraordinary that's why its called extraordinary! It differs to what we have been read for long time from other sources and writers - one-sided and hinders the truth.

Bro. Eli's blog will teach his readers how to think deeper! Knew more than the surface of what have been read. His blogs answered the deepest question of your heart, actually even that question that has not been though by the readers were also brought out and clarified. With his ultimate basis-the Bible, one will surely be more informed after reading his blogs.

  116. The content of this blog was clearly expressed by the writer and it was well explained that we should understand first the thing in a thorough manner before opening one's mouth and type. There was no slightest affirmation to kill someone without a cause, without logical reason. Speaking of logic, one's writing should not be put on a trial if we are not perfect for digesting one's thought? how oblivious other humans may get sometimes. How pathetic.
The writer never promotes killings for no reason, the writer only wanted to explain how crime will eventually diminish due to some drastic measures, besides, are these "not-so-bright" commentators reading some global news? and a netizen's who was updated to current atrocities? There are numerous crimes in the world that deserve much condemn from us humans, those acts that are more morbid than what is happening to the Philippines... killing without a cause is a normal occurrence now guys? and now, you're kinda feeling intelligent to say there was a biased judgment? write your own blog and prove the world that illegal drugs crimes should not be taken into serious consideration? Funny, how humans can easily chew something, without absorbing the essence and just spits out their dirty thoughts.

I totally agree with Bro. Eli in this matter, not because he happens to be our Preacher, but because all the given statements were true and authentic. Personally, I hate killings, but to think that my family will put in harm because of these drug offenders, no doubt the justice must be to serve, regardless how.

Bro. Eli, thanks for sharing this blog with us and to enlighten us.
