The Amputated Arguments of Some Imaginary Smarts

hope for amputees

This is my response to the forum on: http://whywontgodhealamputees.com/forum/index.php?topic=8292.msg173178

A little of common sense (which is common to my readers, but perhaps not known to these people who say that God is imaginary) will prove that these people are running out of tune and common sense. They asked: “What is the established truth when I used the law of estoppel?” The established truth, in their side, is this: They do not believe in the existence of God. God to them is imaginary. This is the established truth in their camp. Therefore, by estoppel, they do not have any right to use the words of God they are citing from the Bible because He is imaginary to them. Therefore, His words to them are also imaginary. Imagine, people saying God is imaginary, yet are using words coming from an imaginary God to deny His imaginary existence. Maybe these people are also imaginary. Because of this, we will be wasting our time dealing with imaginary people.

When the Lord Jesus Christ promised that, in prayers, a believing Christian will be heard by the Father in heaven, and his prayers will be granted, He did not say anywhere in the Bible, that there is a timeframe that God will work His miracles. In fact, God’s promises in the Bible are expected by Christians, not only in this world, but in the world to come.

1 TIMOTHY 4:8
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Even hunger and thirst being experienced by poor Christians will be alleviated, finally, in that which is to come.

LUKE 6:20-23
20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.
23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Hunger, thirst, tribulations, and persecutions work together in a Christian to make him a better person, worthy to obtain eternal life in the world to come.

ROMANS 5:3-5
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

ROMANS 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

A Christian amputee will finally receive a glorious body in the resurrection when, at the twinkling of an eye, his mortal body will be changed to an immortal one.

1 CORINTHIANS 15:50-54
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

These verses, (I am using them because I believe on the God who said them) tell us that there is hope in God’s perfect time for an amputee. These verses will erase any doubt on the person of a loving and caring God, in the mind of anybody who believes the Bible, and who understands the meaning of God’s word. Incidentally, not everyone that will read the Bible will understand the essence of God’s word.

2 CORINTHIANS 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

MARK 4:11-12
11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

When the Lord Jesus Christ said that —

MATTHEW 5:30
And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

— He, in essence, is saying that an amputee will attain eternal life wherein his mortal body will be changed!
